Rechargeable batteries (RCR123A)
Arrived on time. Not expensive (only $5 each), but postage doubled that. Anyway, they charged OK and seem to work as they should. Won't really know till I give the torch a workout next trip, but I can say at this stage that I am very happy with my purchase. It is good that someone is providing these original rechargeable batteries, because the single use ones work out to be very expensive.

Electric Midget
It's the baby brother of the 18650. half the size but definitely more than half the strength. Being rechargeable means it can be used over and over again. Stock up when they are on sale.
